Pilot program aims to connect North Van students with mental health supports

Mountainside, a North Vancouver alternate school, is one of the few schools in its district that provides mental health support to its students. Many students struggle to find where they can receive help when they are battling mental health issues, but with a pilot program launching in September, other North Vancouver schools are aiming to provide one-on-one connections that hasn't been available previously. The province is providing $225, 000, and upon its performance, could expand to other school districts in the province.
