Maple Leafs’ Babcock working to change mental health conversation

Maple Leaf's headcoach, Mike Babcock, has been known for his philanthropic efforts for cancer research and awareness. He lost his mother, and two close friends to cancer, and has taken upon himself to bring awareness of the disease. Additionally, in recent years, Babcock has extended his philanthropic efforts to include mental health, as it has also effected him through close friends. Since then, he has worked with the Toronto based, Center for Addiction and Mental Health(CAMH), Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, to bring a healthy dialogue and change. He understands the severity and prominence of mental health in today's society, and wants to be bring awareness that this could happen to anyone. He hopes to bring an important dialogue.
