Richmond to host events for nation-wide Mental Health Week

According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, one in five Canadians live with mental health problems, mental illness or addiction. And as an ongoing effort to reduce the stigma and get the mental health conversation started, Richmond will host two events as a part of the nation-wide Mental Health Week. On May 8th, Dr. Ingrid   Söchting of UBC will parter with Seia Roots to lead a discussion based on a series of short films on resiliency, also paired with a commentary from an expert panel. On May 10th, Teresa Massel, a registered art therapist will lead a workshop for adults and seniors on the benefits of art therapy at the Richmond Public Library.
